Leadership Recipient: Allan Slote
Ever since Allan started teaching at Starpoint in 1998, he has been serving the STA. Long-time President George Riscile and Officer Nancy Yore got Allan involved from day one. He started writing for the newsletter in 2000. Allan became a building representative in 2003, where he served in that capacity for 6 years. Allan has been serving as our Recording Secretary since 2009, and he is also currently a member of our Negotiation Team, Scholarship Committee, and he is one of our Newsletter Editors. Allan has put countless hours in for the betterment of our union.
